In a country where sport is religion, sporting grounds become like places of worship. So this stadium is hallowed turf - it's the spiritual home of rugby league in Queensland. Also known as "Lang Park" (the stadium's old name), Suncorp Stadium also plays host to rugby union matches. But the ultimate event is the Queensland v New South Wales State of Origin series. This three-game series is played every year in May/June and there's always at least one game played here. Even if you're not a fan of the game, it's worth a visit for an insight into the country's sporting obsession. Our tip? Don't wear blue to the game - it's the colour of the opposition's jersey and could result in severe heckling or serious injury. Scarily enough, we're not joking - there are some hard-core fans out there!
