Along Maine Parade, opposite Overton Gardens

Famously pictured on almost every WA postcard, Cottesloe is one of Perth's most popular beaches. And like most of the city's beaches, it's only a short 20-minute drive from the city centre. Besides the stunning views over the Indian Ocean and Rottnest Island, you'll also notice the historic Indiana Teahouse overlooking the beach. It's now a fancy restaurant, however if you're hungry we recommend the cafes situated along Maine Parade - the food isn't so overpriced and the atmosphere is a lot more relaxed. But in our opinion, nothing beats a post-swim picnic at sunset on the grassy knoll beside the Teahouse.
