Season is one of only a handful of restaurants on Hastings Street that offers excellent food just metres from the water's edge. "Mod Oz" food is the order of the day (usually a fusion of Australian and Asian flavours and ingredients). We highly recommend making an early booking to reserve the seats at the front - that way, you can watch the sunset across the water while enjoying a starter platter. Must-trys include the duck and shiitake mushroom pie, or the eye fillet steak. And leave room for the rhubarb and pear macaroon crumble with hazelnut praline and chocolate ice-cream - it's to die for. Average mains: $26.
