Bambini Trust is without a doubt the best cafe in Sydney's CBD. Tucked away in an elegant building on Elizabeth Street (just down from the central synagogue) the interior is intimate, with a sense of European chic that wouldn't be out of place in one of Melbourne's trendy alleys. It's always bustling with lawyers and execs and is practically the staff canteen for the nearby ACP Magazines publishing company (look for the fashionistas in this season's latest trend). Pop in for breakfast: the avocado, tomato and basil on toasted turkish bread always satisfies, or there's bircher muesli, omelettes and more traditional fry-ups. Lunch and dinner are a more sophisticated affair and they've recently opened the Bambini Wine Room & Bar next door - a stylish addition to the evening drinks scene.
