Do you fancy dining inside the opera house? Yep, that's right: you'll be under one of the famous sails, looking out towards the Harbour Bridge. Romantic experiences don't get any better than Guillaume (pronounced ghee-youm our French friends tell us) at Bennelong. Since Guillaume took over the stoves a few years back, this restaurant has become one of the most acclaimed in Sydney, and last year it was awarded three hat status in the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide (the Oz equivalent of Europe's Michelin Guide). Translation for non-foodies: this place is among the best of the best. Food is high-end French, but with top Aussie produce and even an Asian hint here or there. As you may expect, prices are high-end also (mains are $43). Our tip? Come for the pre-theatre menu (you have to be finished by 8pm) when two courses are $60 and three courses $72.
