Soaring 305 metres above Sydney's central business district, the Centrepoint tower has a few claims to fame: it's the tallest free-standing structure in town, the second tallest structure in Australia and it's the second tallest observation tower in the Southern Hemisphere. The observation deck is 250 metres up and affords panoramic views over the harbour, as well as the 'burbs of Sydney. However the hot new attraction is the "Skywalk", where you walk around platforms on the outside of the tower, just above the observation deck (the see-through floor is a killer). While you will be twice as high as the bridge, if you have to choose between doing this and climbing the bridge, the latter wins hands down - the whole experience is more exhilarating.
