An unmissable landmark on the Gold Coast landscape, Conrad Jupiters Casino is a product of its time - it was built during the 1980s when excess was in and good taste was out. The building itself has certainly lost its lustre and these days the gambling floor is packed with Japanese tourists, drunken louts and people with nothing better to do. Having said that, the restaurants aren't half bad - try the Italian fare at Andiamo or Asian fusion at Zen. And if shows are your thing, the theatre puts on concerts and "stage spectaculars" which are worth a look.
