While it may not be quite as famous as local hero Jackie Chan, Shanghai Tang is a homegrown Hong Kong brand that has achieved worldwide prominence with its distinctive range of colourful "East meets West" clothing and homewares. Designs are modern and elegant, always incorporating classic Chinese motifs with a quirky twist (think Andy Warhol-esque images of Chairman Mao or China's last emperor). It's a good place to come for that unique Hong Kong souvenir - we love the gorgeous scarves, jackets, pyjamas, kidswear, stationery and candles. Look out for their other outlets around the city in Pacific Place, The Peninsula and the airport.
