The smaller of Rome's two main airports, Ciampino operates a large number of low-cost flights in and out of the city. The most convenient way to get there is by bus: Rome's Termini station has buses operated by various companies that make the half-hour journey out to the airport, 15km from the centre of the city. Tickets range from six to eight euro one way. Another option is to catch the subway to Anagnina on the Metro A, followed by a bus to the airport. However, this option can take well over an hour. Because of its relatively small size but large volume of flights, this is a busy airport so plan to arrive with plenty of time to spare.
