You wouldn't be faulted for thinking this was one of the most impressive buildings in the world. Despite its somewhat grey and crumbling exterior, this monument, the most well-preserved ancient building in Rome, is doing quite well for its 2000 years. Many people are not aware that inside lies the tomb of artist Raphael, along with King Vittorio Emanuele. Pay particular attention to the dome, which is the largest unreinforced concrete dome in the whole world - its construction even baffles the experts in the 21st century.
