The Nikko has long been a feature of Osaka's busiest street and remains one of the best-regarded hotels in town (and a popular reference point - you might hear "turn left at the Nikko" when you are given directions). Due to its proximity to transport, shopping and nightlife venues, people from all walks of life are likely to turn up at reception here. Like elsewhere in Osaka (and Japan for that matter), the rooms are smallish but comfy. On the positive side, the regular promotional rates make the Nikko unbeatable for a hotel of this standard. Don't forget to try the excellent evening buffet at Cafe Serena on the second floor. Drinks are included and you can even mix your own cocktails (now that could be dangerous!).
