Built on an artificial island and opened in 1994, Kansai International Airport handles all international arrivals into Osaka. Shopping and restaurants are fairly light on deck here, but immigration is super-fast and you'll be out in no time. To get into the city, you can either take the train or one of the many buses (it'll cost you around 1000 yen and takes about 50 minutes). Whatever you do, don't take a taxi, it costs up to 20,000 yen and takes just as long.
