The humble neighbourhood camera shop is a far cry from this retail gargantuan, although you can find a lot more than just cameras here. The first four floors of Yodobashi Camera are packed with the latest in electronics and home appliances. All the big brands are represented and are usually separated accordingly for each product (you'll almost feel as if you're wandering around a trade show). Each floor takes up to an hour to explore and after that, it's off to the dozens of specialty floors further up. And if all this is too much to get through (and for many, it is), you can always make a bee-line for one of the many restaurants and cafes on the eighth floor.
