From the name, the décor, the Spanish-speaking waiters and the ranchera music, there's no mistaking what kind of food you'll get here. Or maybe there is? El Pancho serves up authentic Mexican cuisine, not the American interpretation of it that much of the world has grown accustomed to. Every square foot of the interior is covered with some kind of Mexican paraphernalia and the intimate arched alcoves look straight out of The Magnificent Seven.
Try to get there between 12 and 5pm for happy hour (now that's a long hour!), when all drinks are half price. If a mango margherita on a sunny afternoon sounds good, this may be the place for you. Tex-Mex fans needn't despair either as there are plenty of gringo dishes on the menu to give you all the melted cheese you could ever want. It's a good idea to book ahead on the weekends. Average main: 1200 yen.
