If it wasn't for the sign by the gate, you'd probably mistake this restaurant for another house. Located in an old mansion built in the 1950s, this charming two-storey restaurant serves up a selection of Nonya and Western cuisines infused with other regional influences. The cosy decor and friendly atmosphere make you feel as if you're dining in someone else's home. The menu changes every two or three months, but their signatures dishes are available throughout the year - like the "Top Hat" (crispy hat-shaped shells filled vegetables and dipped in homemade chilli sauce) and the Nonya Laksa (noodles cooked with coconut curry gravy). For jazz enthusiasts, the upper floor of the restaurant offers live performances on Friday and Saturday evenings from 10.30pm to 2am. On Sunday afternoons (4.30pm to 8pm), the restaurant holds an open jam session for any musicians who would like to perform. Note that there is a cover charge for performances on Friday and Saturday. Reservations are strongly recommended.
