Rightly billed as the "City of Entertainment", Genting Highlands is the kind of place you'll love or hate. Its attractions including a golf course, equestrian club, theme park, concert hall, convention centre and the country's only licensed casino - say no more. Only 45 minutes away from KL, Genting is 6563 feet above sea level so temperatures are guaranteed to be cooler than the city.

The best and most economical way to get here is by express bus service which departs from several locations, the most convenient being the KL Central station. Tickets are US$4.10 return per person, inclusive of the cable car ride. Go during the week as locals tend to flood the place over weekends and holidays to enjoy the cool weather, dinner shows and gambling.
