Don't let the plain exterior fool you. Looking somewhat subdued compared with the more flashy pubs along Changkat Bukit Bintang, Frangipani is a place that oozes chic. There's a restaurant serving a mix of Western and Asian food on the ground floor and a bar on the upper floor. The vibe is ultra cool with simple art-deco furnishings, red drapes against white walls and an indoor pond. It's the kind of place to hang back, relax with a cocktail and actually talk without screaming yourself hoarse. But the drinks can be pricey so be prepared to leave with much lighter pockets.
