For years, all the Japanese restaurants in Amsterdam were high-end and super expensive. Then out of the blue the city went mad for everything Japanese and sushi, yakitori and teppanyaki restaurants seemed to pop up on every street corner. Amsterdam even became the first European city with a specialist okanomiyaki (Japanese pancakes) restaurant. Riding this wave of popularity is Kagetsu, a fantastic sushi and noodle eatery. We couldn't ask for anything more: service is friendly, prices are great value (between 3 and 15 euros) and most importantly, the food is fresh and delicious.
