Every city deserves a pub like Brewerkz - great beer (most of which it brews itself), surprisingly good food, a laid-back atmosphere, and a prime possie next to the Singapore River. To get in touch with your inner Homer Simpson, try their beer sampler menu - purely for research purposes, of course. Then you can decide which of their home brews is your favourite (ours is the Indian Pale Ale), or you could choose from one of the boutique Belgian brands on offer. The food includes everything from scrumptious burgers and Italian-style pizzas to stylish salmon and meat dishes and yummy salads. There are tons of big screens showing all the latest international sport, so you could easily settle in for a few hours. While it's pretty reasonable for Singapore (tax is high on alcohol here), the happy hour deals are especially good value.
