One of a number of dedicated computer and electronics malls in Singapore, Sim Lim Square is one of the few places where you can bargain. It's packed to the rafters with cameras, camcorders, computers, software, iPods and the like, and the prices are generally cheaper than what you'll find in the malls around Orchard Rd or the civic district. And the higher the level, the better value you are more likely to find - the ground floor is always the most expensive. If you have the time, obtain price checks from as many stores as possible (the variation can be huge) and don't forget to get your 5% tax back. Worn out after all that shopping? Head to Little India for a rejuvenating curry!
