Set amidst the lush greenery of Singapore's Botanic Gardens, Halia (Malay for "ginger") is a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday Singapore. You'll feel a million miles away as you enjoy a meal here: choose from a buffet breakfast ($18), an à la carte lunch or dinner, or our favourite, the traditional high tea. If you're visiting during the day, you may want to book a table inside the air-conditioned house. However, we recommend heading outdoors in the evening to sit on the open-air deck - and look out for the live bands that play on the second and fourth Sundays each month.
