For fabulous seafood in swanky surroundings, you won't find much better than J.Sheekey. This restaurant has roots back to 1896 when Josef Sheekey, a seafood market stallholder, started to cook up his finest produce for the local aristocracy. Located close to Leicester Square, J.Sheekey is regularly voted one of London's top restaurants, showing that good quality ingredients cooked to perfection will win out over novelty-style cuisine every time. Highlights of a meal at J.Sheekey include the char-grilled razor clams with broad beans and chorizo (£12.50), and the melt-in-your-mouth grilled dover sole (£26.50). If you have a sweet-tooth, don't miss the crème brûlée (£6.25), or the honeycomb ice-cream (£6.25), which is served with a pot of chocolate sauce so you can pour as much on as you like (so go nuts!).
