In operation since 1923, the colourful Bar Italia is a Soho institution. This little taste of Italy is open 24 hours a day and is always filled with caffeine fans no matter what the hour. Inside, its walls are lined with black and white photos of Italian sporting greats and other memorabilia. There's also a large TV that televises Italian football matches. But it's the tables lining the street that are where you want to be. Yes, people do come to Bar Italia for the great coffee and perhaps a meal, but of equal importance is its superior people-watching location.
