There's no guilt about eating out at FareStart - it's one of the most innovative social service programs in the city. FareStart plucks homeless men and women off the streets of Seattle to become culinary trainees, working with renowned chefs to acquire the skills needed for placement within the food service industry. The FareStart Restaurant is open Monday through Friday for lunch. Every Thursday night a guest chef from a top local restaurant helps students create a three-course dinner for only $19.95. Be sure to make reservations ahead of time as these dinners are very popular.
