The original business district of Seattle, in what is now known as Pioneer Square, burned down in the Great Fire of 1889. The city was rebuilt on top of the old rubble and the underground was shut down in fear of the bubonic plague. Soon the underground became a hideout for speak-easies, brothels, gambling halls and other such vices. Learn about this seedy side of old Seattle and explore the underground with this historical yet comical tour. In spite of being a completely tourist-oriented activity, it somehow manages to not feel cheesy.
