With 65 locations across the country, Georgetown's La Madeleine is hardly a one-of-a-kind cafe. We were lured inside by the aroma of French pastries, however, and were instantly charmed by this sweet eatery. Pair crêpes, quiches, baked goods, salads and pastas with a cup of coffee or glass of wine. There is a menu of items available immediately (you wait in a cafeteria-style line) while others are made to order. The spacious cafe has two floors of seating, and is the perfect resting spot during a hard day of shopping.
