Lake Front & Lincoln Park - Chicago, USA
Belmont Avenue to North Avenue - along Lake Michigan
Visit Website
Despite Lake Michigan's waters offering mostly icy refreshers, Chicago's white, sandy beaches (no, that's not a typo) fill most summer weekends with an active beach crowd playing volleyball, running or simply "sight-seeing". Lincoln Park, which carves out a 17-mile stretch of land along the lakefront, contains one of Chicago's two zoos (but the only free one), a nine-hole golf course (that with a wicked slice lets you feed the fish in Lake Michigan), lots of sports fields, the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, Lincoln Park Conservatory and a lattice network of running paths slicing through lakes and green fields.
