Summer Festivals - Chicago, USA
Many Locations
Visit Website
When Chicagoans end their winter hibernation, they seek outdoor dining, exercise and, of course, festivals. Festival season runs from May through September and fills Chicago's streets and parks with an endless parade of outdoor events. Thousands of people flock to the signature Jazz Festival, Blues Festival, Taste of Chicago, Venetian Night, and Air and Water Show, but the locals gather at street festivals which occur almost every weekend in various neighborhoods. Most events are loosely organised around art shows, antique shopping, book fairs or garden walks, but most people gather to watch emerging bands performing at makeshift stages that book-end pedestrian-only streets.
