San Diego's only commercial and international airport is Lindbergh Field, located near downtown and the bay front area. It's not a huge airport so flying in and out is relatively easy and on clear days affords a fantastic view of the coastline and surrounding mountains. Taxi and shuttle services are available at the airport with no reservation required. Average price of a taxi or shuttle to downtown is about $8-11, outlying beach areas: $14-18.
