War Remnants Museum - Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

28 Vo Van Tan Street, District 3, City

(+84) 8 8298250

When someone mentions Vietnam, chances are that the Vietnamese-American war is one of the first things that comes to mind. You can gauge the perspective of the War Remnants Museum from its former name: "The House for Displaying War Crimes of American Imperialism and the Puppet Government". Established in 1975, it displays thousands of images of the Vietnam War and the suffering it inflicted on the Vietnamese people, as well as military equipment. While the set-up is very basic, the images and displays can be graphic, so it's not suitable for young children. However, we think it's a must-see for those interested in learning about the war from a local's viewpoint.
