The current Hanoi airport is small and overcrowded, but it's being expanded to accommodate the increasing number of visitors. The best way to get into the city centre is by taxi, which should cost about US$4 to US$6. However, airport drivers ask a fixed price before you even you enter the taxi - US$10 to US$15 is normal (and don't give tips).
